Tahmour Kate Bloomfield

Circus Artist, Physical Comedienne and circus trainer.

Tahmour is a professional entertainer who has been entertaining crowds all over the world for nearly 10 years.

MOST RECENTLY
Tahmour’s latest success has been the development of comic character California, and the show Reality TV Me, which has been touring internationally for the past two years. This year it received the Grand Jury 1st Prize for Street Theatre at the Vevey Street Theatre Festival.
2009 and 2010 saw Tahmour collaborating with local acts – Strings on Fire and Candy Stripe Circus to produce the “Little Big Top”, a 3 week cabaret in Katoomba. The kids show bought Tahmour’s other character – Matilda Yonks to break lose and bring the crowd to tears of laughter, whilst the evening bought out comic diva California.

EDUCATION & TRAINING
Tahmour has trained extensively in theatre, completing a Bachelor of Arts in Drama and Film in 2002, at Flinders And Macquarie Universities in Australia.
Since then Tahmour has gone on to train in circus, and physical comedy. She has begun many social circus projects, in Australia and Overseas.
Her training has included a secondment with the Flying Fruit Fly Circus, which was enabled through a grant from the Blue Mountains City Council. She has also participated in numerous clown workshops with people such as Giovanni Fusetti, Angela De Castro, Andrew Cory, Tom Greder and Tamara Campbell.
Closer to home Tahmour continues to train local circus groups – Zany Are and Ruby Bloomers.
Tahmour continues to develop new work and perform at Festivals, Functions and Corporate Events throughout Australia and the world.
